Jennifer-Pratt,Esq-Jennifer Pratt is the founder of Pratt Law, a full service law firm located in Miami, Florida, handling a wide range of legal matters, including personal injury, immigration, civil, family, corporate, business, contracts, entertainment and much more! Prior to opening Pratt Law, Ms. Pratt worked as Supervising Attorney of a mid-size law firm in Miami handling the day-to-day operations and transactional work of the firm. In her role as Supervising Attorney, Ms. Pratt was responsible for coordinating and supervising a group of 12+ lawyers and 40 + staff; report directly to CEO and COO of law firm. Ms. Pratt has handled and managed cases in the areas of foreclosure, personal injury, immigration, labor and employment, bankruptcy, loan modification, breach of contract, litigation, criminal, landlord/tenant, family, mediations and entertainment law.

Ms Pratt was born and raised in Broward County, Florida and she attended Florida public schools through college. Ms. Pratt’s passion and commitment to service stems from childhood. Ms. Pratt graduated in the top 10% of her class from Coconut Creek High School in 2002 with over 250 community service hours; all while working nearly full-time. After high school, Ms. Pratt continued volunteering in various capacities while at Florida State University and was named Leon County Volunteer Mentor of the Year for her time tutoring elementary ESOL students. While in college Ms. Pratt also served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Hispanic Students Union newsletter.

After graduating college in 2005, Ms. Pratt continued to serve her community by joining TeachForAmerica, a national teaching organization that focuses on placing the best college candidates to teach in some of our nation’s worst areas. From 2005 through 2007 Ms. Pratt taught 9th-12th grade English and Journalism at Miami Northwestern Senior High School, located in Liberty City, Miami; she was nominated Rookie Teacher of the Year. Ms. Pratt’s desire to help our youth inspired her to join forces with two of her best friends in 2013 to create a non-for-profit, Street Smart Foundation of South Florida, geared towards helping troubled teens in the juvenile justice system.

Ms. Pratt left teaching to pursue a career in law and she attended the University of Miami School of Law where she graduated with honors in 2010. While in law school Ms. Pratt worked for Telemundo/NBC/Universal as a Media Law Clerk where she researched media law in Latin America to ensure the company was in full compliance with their Latin American subsidiaries. In addition, Ms. Pratt worked in the Business and Legal Affairs Department of Warner Music Latina, Inc., where she drafted and reviewed a variety of entertainment agreements. Ms. Pratt also interned for the Honorable Adalberto Jordan (now an Appeals Court Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit) during his time at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.   During her internship, Ms. Pratt researched and drafted orders and opinions on a variety of federal cases in the areas of international law, mortgage fraud, admiralty, bankruptcy, securities, attorney sanctions and contract law. In addition, Ms. Pratt was very involved in law school serving as the Hispanic Law Students Association Vice-President and as the Editor-in-Chief for the law school’s newspaper. Ms. Pratt was also chosen to be a part of the honorary society, Bar and Gavel Society. Established in 1949, the Society of Bar and Gavel is the only honors society specifically dedicated to recognizing law students who display and live up to the ideals of exemplary character, service to others, positive attitude and leadership. Ms. Pratt currently lives in Miami, Florida.
