Our manifesto
What we promise our readers, and what we refuse to do.
Our editorial rules are short, and we keep them on every page.
1. Answer the question first
Every guide opens with a short answer that you can act on the same day. The detail comes after, not before.
2. Show the reasoning
When a tool gives a result, it also shows how it reached it. A shade finder explains the undertone rule. An outfit calculator shows its multiplication. You can check the logic instead of trusting it.
3. Respect every body
Fit guides describe what a good fit looks like on a range of bodies, and what a tailor can change. We do not describe any body as a problem to correct.
4. Say what costs money
When a piece of advice depends on buying something, we say so and say what the cheaper route is. We do not publish rankings paid for by a brand.
5. Keep health claims modest
We write about skin, feet and comfort in general terms. Where a symptom needs a clinician, we say so in the page itself.
6. Update when the advice changes
When a guide is out of date, we revise it and keep the publication date visible. We do not publish the same text on several pages.
